Was once recounting my very busy day to MummyHay. It featured many peculiar and spectacular episodes, and took quite a while to retell.
DaddyHay walked past and said very snidley in Lord-of-the-Hay-Man-About-Town superiority:
DADDYHAY: If only my day could be packed with so many little incidents.
HAYGIRL (equally snide): You should be so lucky Old Man. Little incidents are spice of life.
MUMMYHAY (outraged): Yes, indeed, spice of life HusbandHay. *glares
Did not realise this incident- retelling was pathological until many months later Esteemed Colleagues politely but bluntly suggested that I in fact start a blog to record this absurdity, rather than tell them between fits of laughter and tears of mirth.
My middle name, incidentally, really is Hay. Enjoy…!
